Eileen Barwick is holding a book launch at her home on 10th Dec at 2.30-4.30
Here she explains how the book came into being –
‘John and myself moved over to Ireland when we retired, we moved from Norfolk in England, but were born in London. I have had a story in my head for a few years now and it was not until retirement that I had the time to put pen to paper. I firstly did an online diploma course in creative writing and loved it and after a favourable report from my tutor decided to finally commit the story to paper. During Covid, although a huge disruption, actually enabled me to seriously write in earnest. Once the book was completed it was going to be stored away in a drawer somewhere as I had achieved what I originally intended. It was John that persuaded me to send it off to a publishing company in London, as he said “they can only say no.” To my shock and delight they agreed to publish it. So The Golden Threads was born.’
