Keep Her Lit presents Féile Samhain
Saturday, 31 October and Sunday, 01 November 2026
Keep Her Lit celebrates women in Irish folk and trad.
Celebrate a stellar lineup of women in Irish folk and traditional music at Keep Her Lit on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at the beautiful St. Mary’s Church in Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny.
The 2 day festival’s headline ‘Awe na Mná’ – concert is hosted by Irish singing legend, the incredible Karen Casey with special guests Clare Sands, Inni-K and just announced BRÍDÍN.
WIth over 30 years blazing trails, co-founding FairPlé for women in folk music, and the creator of the critically acclaimed Nine Apples of Gold – Karen Casey brings her powerful songs and storytelling to the festival’s Awe na Mná concert. She has released an impressive twelve albums as well as contributing to numerous other artists’ projects including Maura O’Connell, James Taylor, The Chieftains, Peggy Seeger, Mick Flannery, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin and many more.
Festival friend, the mighty Clare Sands is a sixth-generation fiddle player and bilingual singer. The Cork native has just released a new album ‘They Tried To Bury Us’. The stunning new album (RTÉ Album of the Week) is a collection of original songs that gives voice to the silenced: the endangered curlew; Lí Ban of Lough Neagh; lost words of our native tongue; the Rostrevor oak; those seeking refuge on our shores and the Palestinian poets whose words embody defiance and inspire generations.
Festival organisers Kasia and Liadain Kaminska commented “Keep Her Lit has showcased women in Irish folk and traditional music since our first festival outing in 2022. It has been a dream of ours to host a concert like this, with women being celebrated and celebrating each other on stage, all together. These women wield their voices and music to preserve our tradition, innovate new sounds and champion just causes – all resonating through their songs and stories.”
A singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and songwriter – Inni-K (Eithne Ní Chatháin) draws from her extensive background in sean-nós and traditional Irish music, even as she ventures into new musical territories. Known for her powerful live performances and singular creative vision, Inni-K continues to evolve with each release. Her fourth studio album ‘Still A Day’ — a fully original collection and her most creatively expansive work to date was released September 2025.
Joining the already incredible lineup is BRÍDÍN – a harpist, singer-songwriter and composer from County Sligo who creates her music in her own modern and ethereal style. BRÍDÍN was brought up surrounded with Irish traditional music and when writing her own music in her creative innovative style, she is inspired by her roots and natural surroundings.
