Visitor Information
Its scenic location on the banks of the river Nore with a 10-span bridge dating from the 18th century has made Inistioge a major attraction for visitors for centuries. Parts remain of an Augustinian Priory which dates from the 13th century. On the northern bank of the river is the Woodstock estate, home of the Tighe family and its proximity has had a major influence on the development of the village and surrounding area for over 200 years. Inistioge offers a wide range of accommodation options for visitors who would like to spend time exploring the local area, walking by the river, fishing for salmon or using the local area as a base to tour the beautiful South East region. There are lots of things to do with five excellent restaurants and three pubs for you to enjoy so click on the options for more information.
