Folk and Traditional Music Festival – Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny

Keep Her Lit is a new Folk and Traditional Music Festival that will take place in the village of Inistioge on August 13th-14th 2022.

At the heart of the festival is celebration and commemoration. It was established to honour the memory of two pillars of the community and to celebrate their contribution to the local cultural landscape – musician Dave Donohoe and publican Johnny O’Donnell – two heroes of Irish music and culture from the area who were taken too soon.

The programme will centre around traditional music sessions and intimate concerts. The festival will also host music workshops and commemorative forest walks, a food and craft market and more.

Please join us for an open village meeting in Cois Abhann on May 26th at 7.30pm to introduce the festival and to share further information. All welcome to attend. This is a community festival and we would really appreciate your thoughts and support!
