Oíche Shamhna - a poem for Halloween

31/10/2018

Oíche Shamhna

Tonight beware for you will see,

Many frightening and unearthly sights,

At twilight they come, for it's then they are free,

So beware when the dark night comes ‘round.

He will be wearing his long black coat

To hide his cloven foot,

For he is the King of them all,

Known only as

An Fear Dubh..
