CREATIVE WORKSHOPS in INISTIOGE  - 21st April 2013 - with artist Tunde Toth

Here is a chance to get inspired and start making and creating beautiful things while learning a new skill: visual arts practitioner TUNDE TOTH will be teaching two workshops on PAPERMAKING TECHNIQUES in Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny:

21st April 2013 (SUNDAY)

10.30am -1pm  HAND PAPERMAKING from pure plant fibres and recycled materials

Introduction to traditional and contemporary techniques

Make your own beautiful, textured, decorated handmade paper!

2 - 5pm  SILK FIBRE PAPERMAKING using raw silk fibres, fabric dyes and a variety of decorative material to create striking silk papers, interior decorations, cards, small pictures! A truly fascinating, contemporary process.

Participants will create and complete a number of pieces at each workshop while learning all basic steps and processes necessary to continue at home.

VENUE: workshops will take place in the Function Room of the new Cois Abhann Centre in the middle of the picturesque village INISTIOGE, Co. KILKENNY

FEES: each workshop costs € 35  per participant, including ALL materials used

DISCOUNT for those participating in both workshops: € 60 for the full day, including ALL materials

Bookings are confirmed with €30 deposit paid in advance

Both workshops are suitable for beginners or those with some previous experience, for adults and young people from 14 years of age.
