Athletics Club's first success in Kilmacow

Nore Valley Athletics Club took part in its inaugural Sports Meet in Kilmacow on April 5th,2010.  All athletes did great on the day!  Thanks to everyone who came out to support us.  The results from the day are as follows:-

- Jane Cullen came 1st in the Junior Women's 400 metres; 2nd in the Junior Women's 100 metres and 3rd in the Junior Women's 1500 metres.

- Under-10 200 metre boys relay team came second - James Drea, Jack Gilsenan, Isaac Wolfe and Jamie Holden.

- Under-14 200 metre boys relay team came third - Thomas Allen, Oisín Wolfe, Jack Kirwan and Richard Leahy

- Richard Leahy came 2nd and Thomas Allen 3rd in the 700 metres for Boys under-14

Also well done to -

  • Ami Stewart Kelly for coming fourth in the 100 metres and for doing very well in the long jump
  • Marie Phelan for coming sixth in the 700 metres
  • Isaac Wolfe, Jamie Holden and Jack Stewart Kelly for doing very well in the 80 metres
  • Eve Roseblade for doing very well in the 80 metres
  • Isobel Harkin for doing very well in the long jump
  • Tiernan Gough for doing very well in the long jump
  • Michael Barcoe, James Brown, Kevin Murphy and Wattie Holden for coming fifth in the 4 x 200 metre relay
  • Oisin Wolfe for coming seventh in the 100 metres
  • Aoife Griffith Brennan for coming fifth in the 80 metres
  • Jack Kirwan for competing in the 100 metres and the 700 metres
  • Kevin Murphy for competing in the 700 metres
  • Martin Cullen and James Drea for competing in the 80 metres
  • All those who competed in the shot putt event
